Lovely setting, nice breakfasts in garden, good central location
Difficult to unload luggage etc as street is narrow and one way and no room to stop even briefly. Need to park nearby.
The house is beautiful from outside et very well preserved. The inside design looks like a beautiful antique shop thanks to its furnitures, frames...etc. It is charming and gives a nice feeling. The breakfast in the sunny garden was great.
we had very poor recommendations for dinner. We were told there was no good restaurant in the area so we had to go back to lisbon. When visiting around the next day, we found very nice restaurants with beautiful locations in front of the sea.
This was a charming, family run guest house in a perfect location. The staff were very warm and friendly and made you feel like an old friend rather than a paying customer.
The rooms were spacious and the ambience was olde worlde. A glass of port was available every evening between 1800h and 2000h.
Nice place in good location in the small village. Great garden.
No tv in the room and wifi internet was poor in room. Had to sit in the hall for good connection.
We liked the proximity to everything in Cascais and the fact that we could stroll on the beach promenade daily.
Charm, elegance, friendly & helpful staff and the ability to meet guests from allover.
Casa Pergola is a lovely old style house in the middle of Cascais close to shops, the beach and the train station (for travelling into Lisbon). The staff were very friendly and efficient and the house was a pleasure to stay at. We were ver impressed and would recommend it to anyone wanting to experience a holiday in the area in a house different from a standard hotel.
This is a beautiful house that has been tastefully turned into a wonderful small hotel. Everywhere you look there are things of beauty and style. But what really makes the Pergola House so special is the friendly and accommodating staff who made us feel so welcome. Thank you to all of them.
There is nothing not to like.
Charming house, beautiful garden, courteous staff,& great location.
Fantastic location - 2 minutes walk from the train station and about the same from the beach. Pergola is an absolutely stunning character building set in a beautiful garden. Service was efficient and friendly and we felt very welcome. The staff at Pergola House also stored our bags for the entire day (And provided us with beach towels) on the day we left so we could go to the beach one more time!
An authentic ornate property in the centre of Cascais. Judging by the number of passers by taking photos of the property this is one impressive building. The rooms are large and traditional with big heavy ornate pieces of traditional antique furniture. No air con but a perfectly adequate large fan. The staff could not be more helpful. The breakfasts good and the complimentary port each evening very much appreciated. Sophie the owner was charming and made us feel very welcome.
Location and a magical house.
The staff were very friendly, good security, the breakfast was good, and it is so central to everything, easy to get to eating places, shops, beach , bus and railway station. The house had charm, full of antiques, and a lovely garden area.
The Garden was great. The stairs were horrid. The room was O.K. but nowhere to put a laptop except on your knee. No T.V. in the room, and the lounge room was like being in "solitary confinement" ! Children screamed all night and during breakfast the next morning. One night was enough for me !! Very overpriced for what it is. Staff did assist me to find a new Hotel which was most kind of them .
